With a gender ratio of 53% women and 47% men, eDarling.de is an online dating site which is among the top ranking in Germany. Apparently, most of the users of eDarling.de have either no higher education or, disproportionately, have done graduate school. Most of the users don't have kids and browse from work. Bosses beware! The age range is from 25-34 and 45-54.
eDarling.de is a site which, after a somewhat lengthy but worth it questionaire, brings up matches according to a scientific algorithm based on your personality. The good thing about eDarling.de though is that, apart from the personality matches automatically sent to you, you can also input your own search preferences by specifying more mundane features like the age, height, location, info about kids and tobacco intake of your future mate.
Seems like a brilliant site but alas, it is not in English and the personality of someone you don't know is no good unless yous see a face, something eDarling.de likes to be coy about unless you pay up!

We Like:
Very popular in Germany,
Very cool personality analysis though you have to spend at least 30 mins to do the test.
To Be Improved:
You can't put in age limits or race of the person you are looking for in your rather detailed profile,
Site is not in English!
Very expensive for a month's only subscription,
You can't see photos unless you subscribe,
You can't specify anything about alcohol consumption in the search.
You are in the Germany and looking for your compatible match.

eDarling uses pretty unscrupulous business practices to pull money out of your pocket. Unless you pay for a subscription, there is absolutely NO WAY to communicate with anyone. They tell you that someone has contacted you and sent you messages, but you cannot respond. So that\\\'s useless.
I made the mistake of subscribing and got very few suggestions. I did not notice any search facility that I could control.
When I wanted to cancel my subscription with eDarling a few days before the subscription payment was due, my request was ignored. Instead, they debited my account and proceeded to quote some obscure condition that I had to cancel any subscription with at least 2 weeks notice. That clause is kept well away from their online help on \\"how do I cancel my subscription\\".
eDarling sucks!
